In November 2024, Brisbane multi-instrumentalist Greg Eales created a musical experience that was intended to be a one-night stand, it was the launch of his solo EP, Songs.  Greg used a few of his recording studio friends to bring the music to life on stage under the moniker 

Cosmic Cowboy and The Incognitos.

The chemistry and the music was good, the band accidentally became a permanent fixture playing at inner-city Brisbane venues The Cave Inn, The Triffid, and PFR Lounge over the next year and a half.

Greg Eales is the Cosmic Cowboy and he performances in an Elvis Presley style suit found in an Op shop with sequins and tassels

The Incognitos are a ragtag collection of amazing musicians, some from bands such as Died Pretty, Superfry’d and The Daisy Rifles other members are free spirits who come and go from musical projects on a whim.

The Incognitos are

Lucy Oliver violin,

Simo Svillans keys, 

Rene Ranke bass and 

Col Barwick drums. 

They are sometimes augmented by the addition of a theremin, Saxophone or Trombone

Cosmic Cowboy and The Incognitos are not country, or glam psychedelic rock or 4 to the floor rock’n’roll they are a collage of all the above. Cosmic Cowboy and The Incognitos create irreverent, road songs screaming for connection with the earth and the stars.
